The Ausable River faces numerous threats and challenges, ranging from global issues such as climate change to local issues including road salt migration into waterways, undersized culverts, and encroaching invasive species. The Ausable Freshwater Center is working to address each of these issues. We work collaboratively with towns, counties, other nonprofits, universities, and state and federal agencies.
